This month, we’re excited to share insights on capital campaigns from two men who have had many years experience in the faith-based community. Joel Mikell is president of RSI, a company dedicated to helping churches conduct successful capital campaigns, and Tom Carringer is an Executive Manager at ACS Technologies. I’ve worked with many churches and other faith-based organizations in strategic planning for over 25 years, and purposely allocating resources in order to maximize Kingdom impact is always vitally important. This planning often includes raising additional capital, and at times, this has resulted in a $1-$50 million capital campaign. I’ve learned two important things about conducting the most successful capital campaign:

1. Begin with the end in mind.
2. Hire a consultant.

So, when planning to conduct a successful capital campaign, I depend on the experts. This time, I chose Joel Mikell, president of RSI.
