DATA REPAIR
When situations arise where restoring a backup to correct an issue in the database isn't an option, data files are sent in to Data Services to rectify the situation. Data Services will work with your information to clear up inconsistencies in the database, go through the tables and correct corruption errors, or correct information that was entered incorrectly. We are here to help you get your database back up and running in a timely manner.
There are several ways that tables can become corrupt, inconsistent, or incorrect. Generally, hardware issues that send incorrect or partial pieces of information into the tables cause corruption within the tables. Inconsistencies within the tables can be linked to either software issues or user issues. These include such things as postings made to the wrong dates or wrong records. Situations where data files can become incorrect apply to cases where tables are verified and rebuilt. If a table is corrupt, forcing the table maintenance program to rebuild it could cause information to be lost and the problem may not be discovered for weeks or months.
Data Services has successfully corrected and cleaned up numerous databases at clients' requests. In situations where the error is not caused by our program, there will be a fee that applies to correcting the database tables. We are willing to work around your schedule in order to minimize down time and get your system back up and running. If you find yourself in a situation where files need to be corrected or modified and you don't think that you can wait the standard 3 to 5 business day turn around, please feel free to call us at 800.475.2710 about scheduling a time that works for you. As long as we receive a notice, we can work on getting your data corrected and back to you quicker.
